I attended the SINAG Youth Conference!
Yey! Mom and Dad took me out again, this time at a benefit concert in our church. The music was loud and it was dark but I eventually started enjoying myself! It was way past my bedtime but everything was too exciting. I didn’t want to miss it. How can I sleep when Barbie was singing in front of me? She sang with a guitar just like my daddy Butch. I couldn’t help but clap my hands. Would you believe it? She even sang ABC for me just like DJ, the Dinosaur in my Baby Genius videos. I was so happy I clapped my hands harder! Daddy took a picture of me and mommy with Barbie. Jan Marini was also there so we took her picture too.
I asked my mommy if I could go to the next SINAG conference. She said I could. When I grow up I’m going to use my talents and skills for the Lord. My mommy thinks I’ll be good in sports someday. I started holding my bottle at 4 months. I took my first step at 8 months and 3 weeks. I can even hold a small ball with one hand. My pedia says I’m advanced!

He called me "mama"
I just heard Nigel call me mama. Twice, this morning! Hearing him say it is like music to my ears. What can I say, It feels good to be needed.
Anyway, here's a picture of us during his first carousel ride. This was taken last Tuesday. We took him to the mall after his monthly pedia check-up. I'm not sure he enjoyed it though. He just held on to the horse's fake mane and had a blank expression on his face. He probably didn't know what was going on. But I'm sure he'll enjoy it more when he gets older.

My Sunday was even better!
I went to church last Sunday. While mommy sang and daddy focused on the service, Teacher Jeannette took care of me. I’m too young for Sunday school. I love going to JOHIA (our church) because everyone there plays with me. They say I’m “mabait” (good) because I don’t cry even though I get passed on from one person to another! It’s ok if I don’t see my mommy or daddy for sometime, I just enjoy the company of the person holding and cuddling me.
But you know what my favorite part is. It’s this…

My ninang Ethel handed me a chocolate cookie. At first I thought it was a toy. But she took the cookie and put it in my mouth. I tasted it and it was delicious!
By the way, that’s my ninang Len beside me. Isn’t she lovely!

Our baby says "dada"
Butch has heard Nigel say “mama” a couple of times but I haven’t =(. I think he only says it when I’m out of his sight and wondering where I am. Butch wanted so much to hear him say dada. Until one Friday morning he just blurted it out. Dadadadada said Nigel! Dada is now part of Nigel’s occasional babble. Here is a video of that exciting Friday morning when our l’l angel said dada for the first time!

Fun Saturday with mommy and daddy
Nanny Weng is gone. Am I sad? Heck no!! I’m having the time of my life. I get to play with my mommy the whole day. Besides that, mommy Wendz and daddy Butch takes me wherever they go. This morning, we had breakfast at Mc Donald’s. I ate pancakes. Well, mommy fed me tiny pieces. I don’t have chompers (teeth) yet to bite food. Then, we gave Lola Noni a ride going to the supermarket. Of course I came in with her. She bought me a big delicious pear. I will eat it tomorrow. We also dropped her off to Camp Karingal. My Lola facilitates a cell group there in the women’s correctional. Isn’t that cool!
I was so tired that I fell asleep in the car on the way home. When I woke up, I watched daddy give Bellas the dog a bath. Bellas is my lolo August’s dog. He’s in Guam right now visiting relatives and he asked daddy to give the dogs a bath for the meantime.
During lunch time, I had mashed squash with Cerelac. As mommy fed me, Lola Noni sang nursery rhythms which made me dance and even clap. We saw daddy shooting some hoops in the garden. I watched him dribble and shoot the ball. He even made the ball rotate on his finger! I want to learn that to when I grow up. Daddy promised to teach me.
I was already getting sweaty. So mommy gave me bath. While I waited for my water to heat up, daddy played his guitar for me. I want to play the guitar too when I grow up. In the afternoon Mommy, Daddy and I napped for a long time. I think the Lord is letting us rest because tomorrow will be another busy and fun day for the three of us.
